2014 Annual Meeting

The 2014 Annual Meeting will include a panel discussion on New York’s Economic Future, featuring the following panelists: Heather Briccetti, President and CEO at The Business Council of New York State, Mick Morrissey, Managing Principal at Morrissey Goodale, LLC, Brian Jacobsen, Chief Portfolio Strategist at Wells Fargo Funds Management, and other panelists TBD. We will also hear from keynote speaker, Joseph Boardman, President and CEO of Amtrak. Also included in the meeting agenda are recognition of the Leadership Award winners, recognition of 2014 Leadership Institute graduating class and inductions of new board members. NYC Codes Programs

The new 2014 Construction Codes will include the provisions of Local Law 41 of 2012 (plumbing code revisions), Local Law 141 of 2013 (administrative, building, mechanical and fuel gas code revisions) and all the various local laws passed by the City Council (including the resiliency laws). This program series is designed to assist members in getting up to speed on the new provisions, the majority of which will go into effect for projects filed on or after October 1, 2014. For Parts 1 and 2, the instructors are ACEC New York members that served on the NYCDOB Technical Codes Committees. For Part 3, the instructors are officials from the Department of Buildings.
