Natasha Burns Promoted to Director of Marketing and Communications. After three years as Communications Associate with ACEC New York, Natasha Burns has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Communications. In her new role, Natasha will produce and provide oversight for all communication and public relations for the organization, including all email outreach, meeting and event promotion, articles for publication, press releases, advertising, and social media management. “DOB NOW” launches in July. The NYC Department of Buildings is rolling out a new computer system, called DOB NOW, that is designed to streamline and digitize almost every filing. The soft launch is set for July 25th where users can opt to register and start using the new system. Initially, it will only be available for plumbing and sprinkler-system work but the department plans to adopt DOB Now for all jobs by 2018.
ACEC New York Firms Top Crain’s List. The Crain's New York Business list of Top 20 Engineering firms has been released, and all 20 of the top engineering firms are members of ACEC. Of the 20 top firms, 19 are members of ACEC New York, and one firm (Boswell Engineering) is a member of ACEC New Jersey.
