Rochester Region: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties
The Rochester Region works closely with city, county and state representatives to discuss issues affecting consulting engineers. For example, they work with the UNICON Committee, the local contractors group, focusing on common legislative or contractual issues. The region also has very active QBS, Annual Awards and Scholarship Committees, and has just started to provide continuing education opportunities for its members, using space at the local Monroe Community College. Their community involvement includes working with the AIA co-sponsored Habitat for Community House, called Architects Collaborating with Engineers for Shelter (ACES), for which they raised $66,000 in 2005, and volunteered time, effort and services.

The region holds 10 membership meetings each year.  All are breakfast meetings, generally held on the third Thursday of each month.  They are well attended, and feature a wide cross-section of guest speakers from the government, business and education communities.
