ACEC New York - Southern Tier Region


	Southern Tier Region: Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga and Tompkins Counties The Southern Tier Region is a small region spread over a large geographic area. Heading the list of issues of importance to the group, which includes mostly smaller firms in rural, economically strapped municipalities, is amending Wicks Law. The region donates to the ACEC New York Scholarship Program and is hoping to continue meetings with state, federal and local elected officials, which have been very productive.

	The region holds five meetings per year, mostly luncheons, in October, January, March, May and July. One of the meetings is set aside for discussions with local or state representatives, another is an educational meeting and the remainder are membership meetings. There is also an annual winter party.
